Since videodrome is such a visual film its hard to get that across in a novel, but Jack Martin makes a pretty good attempt to "use words to try to come to terms with things for which there are no words" If you love the film then the novel is a wonderful companion piece, although I'm not sure how much sense it will make if you're unfamiliar with the story.
